SONYA WILSON

Manager

Sonya likes zumba, going on bike rides and running. Sonya has three children, a husband and a dog called Buddy. At the weekend she enjoys spending time with her family, walking the dog and going out for meals. Sonya’s ideal day would be walking in the Lake District and stopping for a nice meal in a country pub. Sonya has worked in childcare for 16 years and has been at Busy Bees 10 years. Sonya has been the manager since 2015 and holds her level 3 qualification and first aid certificate.

LOUISE GLOVER

Hi, I am Louise.  I am currently studying a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies (level 5) and in September 2022 will further my professional development and study BA Hons Top Up (level 6) Early Childhood Education and Care.

Away from work and college I am mum to three young boys and enjoy spending time with my family.

BEV FRANCIS

Practitioner

Bev likes spending quality time at the weekend with her family at her caravan. She is married and has three children. Bev enjoys watching her boys play rugby and football on the weekends. She also enjoys swimming and walking her dog Rolo. Bev’s Ideal day would be a good family get together. Bev has been in childcare for 13 years and has worked at Busy Bees for over ten years. Bev holds a level 3 qualification in childcare and has her first aid certificate.

LAUREN TANTON

Practitioner

Lauren is mum of two children.  Lauren loves to spend time with her family and enjoys going for long walks with their dog.  Her ideal holiday would be relaxing by the pool.
Lauren has worked in childcare since 2012 and has a wealth of experience to share with the children.

SOPHIE LONSDALE

Practitioner

Sophie is a wife and mum to two young children. Sophie likes spending time with her family and her dog at the caravan. Sophie’s ideal day is driving down to the coastal town of St Ives in Cornwall, once down there they spend time on the beach and surfing in the sea. Sophie has been in childcare for 8 years and holds her level 3 qualification and first aid certificate.

LYNDSEY GREEN

SENCO

Hi, I am Lyndsey.  I am the Senco in the setting.  As well as playing with the children I also support children who may require additional guidance and/or refer children who need further support from specialist teams such as Speech and Language Therapist.  I have worked in childcare for over 10 years and hold a Level 4 qualification in Childcare and a current First Aid Certificate.

I have two sons who are both into football and spend most of my free time taking them to and from training and matches. My ideal day would be walking along Hadrian’s wall with my family. 

OUR GOALS

• Provide high quality care and education for children between the ages of two and five years. (government funding for 2-3 yrs and 3-5yrs).

• Ensure that each child and their family are valued and respected as individuals.

• Encourage self-confidence and self esteem, to promote independence, to promote positive images, to have respect for others, the setting, the environment and the world around us.

• Work within a framework ensuring equal opportunities for all children and families.

• Welcome the participation of parents and operate an open door policy, which facilitates open communication and a strong relationship.

• Provide a stimulating safe, secure and caring environment with a wide variety of suitable and appropriate resources, opportunities and experiences helping the children through the Early Years Foundation Stage, whilst maintaining a happy environment with an emphasis on fun!
